A bleeding Tree...
I continued to do random fun things with photoshop :)
So instead of doing crazy mindless things this actually has a meaning.
The tree is symbolizing life and the water stains are the stains on the
paper. which paper is made of trees and the life of the tree is bleeding
back into the paper. make sense? I know its late when I thought of this
and its even later when I was typing the explanation...

Seattle City Chicken Design
So this is my final poster design and the way I printed it is actually black ink on a beige paper. I really liked the way it turned out and I am quite satisfied. I also designed the logo which is an egg and inside the yoke is the City part of Seattle City Chickens.

Chicken!!!
So there is a really interesting story that goes along with this picture. Kristin and I were taking pictures down town and there was this girl who was just walking around with a chicken!! who does this? I of coarse had to take a picture. And it gave me great inspiration for Seattle city chickens :)

Another Poem My Favorite!!
Always watching over you
with arms open wide
branches bent softly
swaying from side to side.
The biggest symbol for life
a blank canvas for lovers
carving their names
awaiting what life uncovers.
Grasping the world by all its roots
holding it up with hope
connecting us in a time of need
a simple place to cope.
Leaning against the moss
the coolness of the shade
cradling your every thought
you should never be afraid.
Light shining through
the roots grow deep
laying by it’s side
its okay to weep.

One of my poems for Creative Writing
Sitting and watching
the colors change
hanging high
yellows and reds in every range
Some at rest
some are whirling
the shapes vary
as the corners keep curling
Holding on
until the fall
dew drops weighing them down
all they want to do is stall
The veins of life
slowly coming to an end
turning more fragile
stems start to bend
Dry and delicate
slowly floating down
crumbling to pieces
as they hit the ground.

Salsa Packaging!
Just finished my salsa packaging for Dos Pajaritos Salsa. There are five flavors and heats; Mild, Medium, Hot, Pineapple Habanero, and Huckleberry Peach. The style and the feel I was going for was an old almost ripped, torn, and burned feel. I wanted to make the labels very similar except for the different flavors. I kept it all the same, the only change is the ribbon with the flavor and heat and a color that coordinated with the flavor, very bright to capture your attention. The ribbon will also be on the top of the jar for easy access to know what kind you want.

A New Creation!
So I had a vision in my head of penguins flying through the air and I decided to paint it. But big problem penguins can't fly so I had to improvise. Balloons! Problem solved.

Final Logo
I changed the overall design to Solid black with no Grey tones to make it simpler and easy to read from a distance. The type straight across also helps frame the logo. If you have suggestions I would love to hear them.
